The race:

The 3 Days of De Panne (Driedaagse De Panne in Flemish) is a Belgian stage race that comes near the end of March. Its schedule generally puts it in the middle of the week before the Tour of Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen). Its peloton often has all of the important contenders for the Tour of Flanders

De Panne is in West Flanders, on the North Sea Coast near the French border.

Eric Vanderaerden is the race's winningest rider, having won Three Days of De Panne five times.

For 2018, the men's race was shortened to a single day. The first stage, planned to be a short "Sprint Challenge" was cancelled because of lack of interest from the teams. Also, for 2018 the race was moved to the week between Milano-San Remo and Gent-Wevelgem instead of the following week, before the Tour of Flanders.

Since 2019 the race has remained a single-day competition held in late March.

The race currently has a "World Tour" ranking.
